This simple project came to be as a result of wanting to “class up” the bar in a local, high end banquet hall.
This visionary customer, wanted to eliminate the look of the existing wood shelves, and in its place, have an entire length mirror to cover the back wall.
Adding a mirror to back of a bar is a very easy way to brighten up the area, but also give an elegant and classy look.
The main issue arose when it came time to find a place to store the glasses and free up counter space.
The 10mm glass shelves are attached directly to the mirror on the backside.
On the front of the shelves, we decided to go with an almost invisible cable system.
The cable system incorporates shelf supports as required to ensure the glasses don’t end up back on the counter….
The end result, as most would agree, breaks up the look of mirror just enough, while also providing a classy solution to a simple problem.
